The Origin Of The Embodied Way...
COVID-19 fragmented our lives and cut us off from our sparkle. I am no exception. COVID has been a profound period of challenge. Many days have felt like like my get-up-and-go has taken a permanent hiatus.
Myself and my family have experienced mental and physical health issues and numerous losses. It’s all been a lot to take in.
There have been pockets of joy, and as we know, challenges can help us gain insight and restructure our lives meaningfully. We find out what matters, right?
Entering a new community is daunting and exciting. I love where I live and yet have found it difficult to be grounded.
It has meant starting over. How could I incorporate all the learning, skills, desires and wisdom gleaned into this new life? How could beauty in life be found again?
I have been an esthetician since 2007 and a coach since 2014. As an esthetician, I have focused on excellent services and supported a person’s deeper needs for connection and compassion.
Most of my coaching has served RCMP members in high performance, healing, and overall well-being. It has been an honour to continue with this work and to help them know their value. We have some amazing humans looking out for us!
I want to help prepare people for the output needed to fulfill their life vision and be the best human possible. I believe it’s critical to honour, grow and resource ourselves first. It’s the only way to answer the call, to love, give and achieve the way we want and not burn out. This is why creating a spa-like environment for people is so important to me.
Whether doing a facial, manicure, pedicure or coaching, my focus has always been on a more profound experience. When the body and mind work together, healing occurs individually and collectively. The ripple effect is more love in everyone’s lives and a positive impact on our world.
Welcome to The Embodied Way, a new way to bring body and mind together. You will find exceptional esthetics and support in the most valued areas of your life. Together, we heal, grow, care and make room for beauty.
A bit about my colleague, Kenzie...
Kenzie is a Vancouver Island native, having spent most of her childhood and adult life here in the Comox Valley. She knew from a young age that she wanted to help care for and support people for a living, and it turns out that she enjoys helping them feel beautiful too!
After finishing her esthetics certification she went on to work at a local resort spa. This experience allowed her to see that she values the deep connections that can be made with her clients in this industry. Her passion for creating a warm, comfortable space for her clients led her to create Freya Esthetics.
It is important to Kenzie that all of the women and men that she works with leave their appointment feeling supported, relaxed and confident.
She aims to provide her clients with the education they need to take control of their self-care journey.
